On October 31, 2018, Prime Minister Modi unveiled the Statue of Unity on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 143th birth anniversary, handed it over to the country. It is believed to be the highest statue of the whole world ever.
What is statue of unity

Sardar Patel's Political Biography
- Born on October 31, 1875 in Nadiad of Gujarat, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel gave his first contribution to India's independence struggle, in 1918 in Kheda struggle of Gujarat.
- He liberated the people of Borasad taluka from a penal tax called 'Hadia' by using Borashat Satyagraha.
- In 1923, Sardar Patel led a successful national flag movement in Nagpur.
- Patel led the satyagraha movement in 1928 against the government's increase in the rent of the farmers of Bardoli, where they gave the title of 'Sardar' to women.
- In 1931, he chaired the Karachi Convention of the Indian National Congress and played an important role in the non-cooperation movement, Swaraj movement, Dandi travel and Quit India Movement.
- Sardar Patel became the first Deputy Prime Minister of Independent India and also took charge of Home, Information and Broadcasting Minister.
- Having attained independence, Sardar Patel had a major role in national integration of the Indian princely states and without the war, he merged around 562 country indigenous peoples into the country.
- Sardar Patel, who also disagreed with the merger agreement, also introduced Jammu and Kashmir, Hyderabad and Junagadh in the country till November 1947, introducing his diplomatic sense.

United Nations Human Rights Award
Pakistan's human rights activist Asma Jahangir has been posthumously awarded the United Nations Human Rights Award. He was one of the four winners declared by the United Nations on October 25 for this award. Three more winners of this award are as follows:

- These awards will be distributed on December 10 on the occasion of World Human Rights Day.
- 66-year-old Jahangir, who died on February 11 due to heart attack, was known for his unselfish nature and continued efforts in the field of human rights. She was the first woman to serve as chairman of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan.
Religion Guardian-2012
For the promotion of military cooperation between India and Japan, the first joint military exercise 'Dharma Garjan-2011' will be organized from November 01 to November 14, 2018 at Counter Insurgency Warfare School in Varente, India.

NASA's Kepler Telescope
NASA's Kepler Telescope retired after collecting data for nine years in space.
