India has again been elected a member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council for the next 4 years (2019-2022). The Council's election was held during the ITU Fullness Conference (ITU Plenipotentiary Conference-2018) running in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

' Sanghvari ' polling station
Election Commission has set up 'Sanghvari' polling booths to encourage women voters to vote in different constituencies of Chhattisgarh for voting in assembly elections.
- In the speech of Chhattisgarh, 'Sanghwari' means 'Friend'. Therefore, only women officers will be appointed on these polling stations, including security personnel and supervisors.
- The Election Commission has set up five unionwise polling stations in each assembly constituency of Chhattisgarh.
- It is worth mentioning that the total number of voters in Chhattisgarh is 1.85 crore, out of which 92 lakh female voters are included. There are 90 constituencies in the state.
Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium
Continuing to rename the process, the Uttar Pradesh government has changed the name of the newly built Ikana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee International Cricket Stadium .
- After the nomenclature, the stadium was inaugurated on November 6, 2018.
- This stadium has a seating arrangement of 50,000 spectators.
- The name of the stadium is named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as he was elected MP from Lucknow for five consecutive terms between 1991 and 2009.
